Awesome

Very educational and perfect

Overall beneficial for students

I am a tutor at an after school program and use this app for my kids spelling lists (because simply knowing how to spell it wont help you write it correctly in a sentence). I love how easy it is to input the words and definitions on my iPhone, however, there are extra steps when creating lists on my iPad. Also we have had malfunctions where all of this lists simultaneously disappeared. Fortunately they suddenly came back a day later but still frustrating. Overall it is a nice app but could use some more fine tuning.

Good but lack a feature

I love the dictionary app and I downloaded this particular app to give a try. It was good but it doesnt connect my favorite vocabularies from the Dictionary app to this app even I logged in on the account. Though it has a feature to manually add a vocabulary but I have no time to do this because I have loads of words from my Dictionary favorites.

Review for Version 2.0

I enjoy the many comprehensive lists of words of various categories, but the app sometimes freezes and logs me out.

Awful!

App rarely works. I am able to add words to my list but when I try to save, I get an error message saying something about network problems. Then it asks me to "try again later." Well, I have tried again, again and again, even different places (network) and it still wont save my added word. DONT BUY THIS APP! At least not until more bugs are worked out. And they are not very quick at all to fix problems.

Good, but list syncing, sorting, and multiple definitions would make it better!

I love the concept of this app. I often encounter great words that I want to memorize, and this app is designed just for that. The study and quiz modes work well, and the overall interface is intuitive and attractive. However, there are three major things that should be done to improve the app: • Add support for multiple definitions. Words have ‘em, so the app needs to accommodate ‘em. At the moment, the app doesn’t allow users to either select multiple definitions or add multiple instances of the same word in a list, so the only way to include multiple definitions is to create a new definition, which is time-consuming and should be unnecessary. Let users choose more than one definition when creating cards, and the problem is solved. • Support list sorting. I’d like to be able to sort my lists alphabetically, as it makes it easier for me to find words in my list. • Sync lists to Dictionary.com website. As other reviewers have noted, lists are often deleted, particularly in the process of updating the app, which makes the work of creating lists a wasted effort. Back lists up to the website, and you’ll save users the hassle of recreating them, while simultaneously driving traffic to the website. It’s a win-win.

Without internet connection, this app is useless.

I dont have possibility to access internet all time. When I am offline, I could not read any of my flashcards.

Good app

I would love it if you could set up a playlist of your words with their meanings. That way you could listen on the go

WHY MUST I SIGN IN?

Why do the developers insist on its supporters creating an account? Apple devices are more than capable of holding onto what ever is created or downloaded. Is it possible the developers are insisting on account creation and log in in order to follow what its supporters are doing? To the developers: STOP THE SNOOPING. Two stars for you!

High hopes - indaglowe

Just opened the app and it went straight to asking me to rate it 5 stars so I am, even though I havent used it yet. But hopefully me rating it like it told me to, will benifit me in some way lol! Ill come back and re-review the app once Ive used it

The best

The best flash card app i ever had ! I never forget what i learn this way

Beautiful

Exactly what I was looking for!

i DO NOT like this app what so ever!

i DO NOT like this app what so EVER! It makes NO sense at all. It NEEDS to be mote like the free Quizlet app I use for EVERYTHING!

Fair

The app lacks the ability to save lists smaller than 5 words. Im reading a book and want to keep track of words that Im learning as I go. Each time a start a list it disappears because it doesnt have 5 words on it yet. This is extremely frustrating.

Very nice

Makes Flash Cards Easy

I used this app for all of my college classes this semester. It gets confusing and cumbersome to carry around a huge stack of notes cards with you. With this app you can just put them all in neat list.
